Pavel Kostomarov

Born in 1975. After earning a degree in biology, Kostomarov graduated from VGIK’s Cinematography
Department in 2002. In 2005 he studied at the European Discovery Campus, and in 2006 at BBC’s London office.
As a DoP, Kostomarov shot features with Aleksei Uchitel, Aleksei Popogrebsky, Boris Khlebnikov. In 2010 Kostomarov received the Berlinale’s Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Achievement. His director’s filmography includes: The Term (Karlovy Vary, IDFA, DOKLeipzig, 2014), I Don’t Love You (Warsaw IFF, Silver Eye nomination, 2012), I Love You (Rotterdam IFF, 2011), Together (Karlovy Vary, 2009), Life in Peace (Silver Dove in DOKLeipzig, 2004), The Transformer (Tampere FF Best Documentary, 2004). He also co-produced My Friend Boris Nemtsov (2016), Kiev/Moscow. Parts 1&2 (2015).
