Martin Gerner's debut film Generation Kunduz won several Awards, inbetween others the DEFA-Award Dok-Leipzig as “outstanding German documentary” . MG Film since 2009 produces independent art house films for the international market. A war correspondent in Afghanistan and an expert on the Islamic world, Martin Gerner is also the curator of the successful 'Afghanistan from Inside' at Dok-Leipzig Film Festival 2008.
