Born 23rd December 1971 in Maribor, Slovenia, he studied history and sociology at the University of Ljubljana. From 1998 till 2005 he worked as a freelance reporter and photojournalist. He was a war and crisis reporter (Kosovo, Eritrea, Chechnya, Macedonia, West Bank, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kashmir, Lebanon, Syria ) and was publishing in numerous national and international newspapers and magazines. After 2005 he directed series of documentary films and a feature film.
