Born in Warsaw in 1982, she directed her first short films at the Ecole Nationale Superieure, while writing her PhD on the cinema struggling against the government in Poland during the 1970’s. «We film the people!», her first feature documentary film, also deals with the relationship between film-makers and communist leaders in Poland. She teaches Film History at Université La Sorbonne.
