Andrea Zambelli was born in Bergamo in 1975. He graduated from the DAMS, Bologna, in 2001. He has worked on documentaries of creation since 2000, and as a filmmaker and director of photography. Since 2001 he has worked in the Bergamo area with various theatre directors and with Lab80Film, making a number of documentaries. In 2008, Di madre in figlia was selected for the Toronto Film Festival.
