Walter Nagy has been collaborating with the Institute of Documentary Film in Prague since 2008. He initially worked on the East Silver Market, at the time the largest documentary film market in Central and Eastern Europe, held annually as part of the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival. He later served as coordinator of the East Silver Caravan project, focused on festival distribution and strategy.
In 2023, he worked with the organization Post Bellum – Memory of Nations, where he contributed to the organization of the Theatre of Memory of Nations project. He has a long-term collaboration with Ivona Remundová, with whom he co-created the podcast series True Story for IDF and co-authored the audio documentary Next Stop: Hlavák, which received the Main award at the international Prix Bohemia festival in Olomouc in 2023.
In parallel, he is engaged in theatre history and has co-authored several theatre studies publications. He also collaborates with the industry section of the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival on the Matchmaking Accelerator project.
