ANU AUN is a 30-year old Estonian director-producer and scriptwriter, currently working in Luxfilm. Anu has graduated with BA from TV Directing in Tallinn University Audiovisual Media Department and completed postgraduate studies in Film Directing in Tallinn University Film Department. She was one of the founders of the production company Luxfilm in 2005. Anu has produced and directed several short films and documentaries. Her graduation film "Indigo Room" was screened at many international film festivals and had a theatrical release both in Estonia and Russia. Anu has also worked as a script editor for several short films and produced Maiju Ingman’s feature „Whatever, Aleksander!“ (2007). Anu is currently directing two documentaries and developing her first feature „The Polar Boy“. The script of „The Polar Boy“ was developed during advanced scriptwriters course „Script&Pitch“ and NIPKOW resid ency program. Anu’s latest short film „Shift“ premiered in October 2010 and has already been awarded at international film festivals. For her film "Shift" Anu Aun was also granted Sinebrychoff Stipend 2010 that goes to The Best Debut of the Cultural Year and is given out by Estonian National Culture Foundation.
