Director Cat Norman Tahirović is a visual artist who is finally delving into the world of film after over 20 years of still photography experience. Though American by passport, Cat lives with her family in Sarajevo and works as a professor at a local university, teaching hundreds of Bosnian and international students visual storytelling through photography. Living as a real insider, while still being an outsider, has given her a unique culturally mixed perspective that she applies with enthusiasm to the new visual landscape of film. Her passion for women’s rights, history, and art have shown in every medium she’s explored and Cat now gets to see those passions anew as she tells complex local narratives in a fresh, engaging way through the unique strengths of the film medium.
