Writer & director Maciej Grabysa is a graduate of the film directing course at FAMU, Prague (1998-99), Andrzej Wajda's Film Directing course at the Krakow Theatre School (1997) and of the History of Arts degree from the Jagiellonian University, Krakow (1998). In 2006 he participated in the ESoDoc workshop programme. Started working as a reporter and director of television news and current affairs for Polish TV (TVP and TVN), before directing more than 30 editions of a successful TV talk show. With this solid and varied industry experience behind him, Maciej has gone on to assist Andrzej Wajda on his latest film, and to write and direct three documentaries in his own right, for Polish Public TV (TVP1 and TVP2), The Damned (2002); Receipt for Life (2004); Arts Beautiful (2006).
