French filmmaker and visual artist Patrick Bokanowski (1943) has made a number of internationally acclaimed short experimental films and animations since the 1970s. His 2018 film Soar (French: L'envol) was awarded a Special Mention by the Jury of the Fascination section at Jihlava IFF.
