Besa Luci is the founder and chief editor of Kosovo 2.0 (www.kosovotwopointzero.com), an online platform and biannual print magazine, which combines traditional and new media to create a self-sustaining platform for Kosovo’s youth to become informed and active participants of their communities and society. In the past few years, Besa has also worked as senior researcher with the Foreign Policy Club think tank, based in Prishtina, Kosovo. She has also worked as a freelance researcher for Youth Initiative for Human Rights, Prishtina office. Besa has worked a reporter for a few online and print media in the U.S., such as the Columbia Missourian, Gotham Gazette, NYC, women’s enews, NYC, etc. Besa holds a BA in political science/international relations and journalism/mass communications from the American University in Bulgaria, and an MA in journalism/magazine writing from the Graduate School of Journalism, University of Missouri, Columbia.
Via Kosovo 2.0, Besa has produced several short documentaries and videos, such as contribution to 2010 “One Day on Earth” documentary movie (http://www.onedayonearth.org/) ; August 2013, a 45-minute documentary called “Sex.” Kosovo 2.0 has also produced short video documentaries, video blogs and video commentaries as part of our continuous workshops with young filmmakers.
