Katerina Suvorova is a documentary director and producer from Central Asia, Kazakhstan.
Suvorova’s films draw on the everyday lived experiences of diverse communities across Kazakhstan and wider Central Asia.
Creative Documentaries of Katerina were screened internationally at film festivals and national theatrical & online releases. Her full-length film Sea Tomorrow, the premiere of which was held at the Locarno IFF, was released on Netflix in 2021. Katerina's documentary projects also take part in art exhibitions. Her project Heads May Roll was presented at the Transmediale in Berlin, and in Katerina participated in the Documentary exhibition in Kassel, Germany. She is the founder and director of the independent documentary studio Tihiy Svet in Kazakhstan.
