Sergey Gindilis is a filmmaker, poet, and theatre director. He studied philosophy, and then documentary filmmaking and theatre at Marina Razbezhkina School. Sergey works at the junction of several documentary genres, combining theatre, film, and exhibition projects. He worked on documentary performances and video art pieces about circus life as part of the installation "Backstage" by artist Maria Plavinskaya at the exhibition "8 1⁄2" Solyanka gallery, and in the creation of a documentary exhibition about refugee stories "Don’t/Do/Stay/Run" at the inclusive cultural center "Tverskaya15". Sergey’s latest works are "History Of The Epidemics" about outbreaks of deadly diseases in the USSR and the ‘Neighbors’ about the protests in Belarus, which he staged at Doc Theatre Company in Moscow.
