Hans-Georg Eberl is an activist, occasional author, German adult education teacher and film maker. He is also active – previously in Bavaria, currently in Vienna – as a supporter of self-organised refugee protests and in struggles against deportation. In the context of the trans-national network "Afrique Europe Interact" for a long time he has cultivated contacts with grassroots initiatives in Mali and Togo. He makes his living as a teacher of German in Vienna Volkshochschulen (adult education centres). In this context he also takes an interest in the possibilities of liberalising DaF/DaZ education (German as a foreign / second language) beyond the prescribed tuition of German.
