Anna Khazaradze is a director, producer, and co-founder of 1991 Productions. Working across fiction and documentary, she develops socially engaged, director-driven films that move across borders. She is currently directing and producing the documentary Berliner (MDR/ARTE, InMaat Foundation) and producing Uta Beria’s feature Tear Gas (ZDF/ARTE, Hubert Bals, CNC). Her recent credits include 9-Month Contract (2025), winner of the Human Rights Award at CPH:DOX; Crossing (2024), the opening film of Berlinale Panorama; and the documentary Glory to the Queen, which she co-directed and produced. Anna studied Film and Television at the London College of Communication and is a Berlinale Talents alumna.
