My name is Husein Bastouni and I study animation at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. I grew up on the outskirts of the Syrian capital Damascus and from an early age I drew a lot, especially the cartoons I liked back then.
Due to the war, I had to flee in 2014 and have been living in Germany since 2015. I continued my educational career here and have been enrolled at the University of Kassel since 2020. Over the years, I have developed a love for animation, as there are no limits to the imagination.
In my works, I often deal with war and its effects and try to present a peculiar point of view.
