Hana Dvořáčková

director, editor

I studied film editing at Tomas Bata University and then at FAMU in Prague. Since I graduated studying, I have been working as a freelance film editor. My work is mainly focused on the creation of feature-length documentaries, which are usually screened at the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival (Milda, Kalado, Kiruna, Danube of Consciousness, How God Searched for Charles). Working on a documentary film fascinates and attracts me the most as an editor, I enjoy building the structure of the film, creating a story, freedom, and the possibilities that each material hides in itself. I also cooperate externally with commercial and public television companies to create documentary series or individual episodes.
