Boris Mitić stopped believing in the denotative power of facts and images after 5 years of setting up stories for top global media and 15 years on the high-end documentary film circuit. He found refuge in what he calls ‘inverted-vérité’, an offbeat, personal, text-driven approach to storytelling wherein documentary images suggest different layers of reality than what is actually seen, altogether presenting strangely familiar new points of view. Satire, Nothing & Creative Parenting are his latest playgrounds, which he projected in collaboration with the likes of Iggy Pop, The Tiger Lillies, and Chilly Gonzales, at over 250 festivals, 20 broadcasters, 10 art biennales, and nearly 100 lecturing outlets worldwide.
