Ionut TEIANU was born in 1965 in Bucharest, Romania. He graduated from the UNATC (National University of Drama and Film Art) in 1990. His short film “White days” was awarded with the Grand Prize at the Dakino Film Festival in Bucharest 1990, and selected to the Berlin Student Film Festival. Since 1991 he lives in Paris. He has directed and filmed documentaries mainly for French TV channels (more than 50 titles in formats from 90’ to 13’). Most of these films are treating social issues, viewed through the life of the characters involved.In 2008 he graduated from the Screenwriting course at the FEMIS, in Paris. He is the screenwriter of the feature film "Of Snails and Men", awarded at the Valladolid and Warsaw Film Festivals. The film also received the Gopo Award for best audience in 2012.
