Evženie was born in Prague 1983. She is a graduate of FAMU, film editor, screenwriter, director. In 2017 Evženie was a fellow of the NIPKOW PROGRAMME Berlin. BERLINALE TALENTS alumni 2019. 2018 participated in the Project&Process workshop/Training Mentors for European Screenwriters and Filmmakers organised by Sources 2. Trained as a script consultant with MIDPOINT.
She is the author of two short films: The Weekendhouse, (2012) and Mr. Mireček, (2010). Co-editor of a book about the surrealist Ludvík Šváb entitled: Tidy Up After I Die, published in 2018 by the NFA.
She is currently preparing her feature film debut Backwoods. The screenplay won the Czech Film Foundation Award in 2020.
