Kateryna is an young independent filmmaker, born in Zaporozhye Ukraine and based in Prague. She graduated in History of Arts at Charles University, and also studied The Theory of Art in the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. During her studies, she focused on such topics as “the perception of documentary media and self-representation in virtual spaces”. As an independent curator, she continues on her visual path by working as a set and costume designer. Kateryna has also produced a few short documentaries and was working on the Ukrainian documentary film production "Minimal Movie". Now she is a part of the international workshop dok.incubator team, and her debut short film Avitaminosis received a Silver Eye award, supported by the Institute of Documentary Film at the Jihlava IDFF 2022.
