Iván Forgács(1958, Budapest)Graduated in 1983 at the Eötvös Lóránd University (Budapest) on Hungarian and Russian philology.Since 1984 he’s been the specialist and research fellow of the Hungarian National Film Archive. His profile is the Russian and East-Europian cinema.He published plenty of articles on this theme in different periodicals, first of all in Filmkultura and Filmvilag.Now he is the editor-in-chief of the online periodical filmkultura.huIn the Film Archive in 1991 he founded an English language international film peiodical Moveast on East-Europian cinema.In 2008 made his PhD ont he Soviet cinema of the ’thaw’. Ont he basis of this work was published his book The Thaw of Film Histories (2011)
