Margit Lillak, B.A. graduate from Estonian Academy of Art and M.A. graduate in Scriptwriting from Royal Holloway College, England. She made her first documentary Ars Longa (scriptwriter and director) in 2008, followed by Baby Face (2009, scriptwriter, director and cinematographer) and Pastacas (2010, Scriptwriter and producer). Pastacas was awarded with the main prize at the EstDocs Film Festival competition in Toronto. She made her first feature length documentary – a first person film "40+2 weeks" about her pregnancy and childbirth. In 2019, she made her second feature documentary "The Circle", of which she is the director and scriptwriter. For "The Circle" Margit got an annual prize for outstanding documentary film from the Estonian Cultural Endowment.
