Nadia Parfan is an anthroplogist, a programmer, a film director and a creative producer.
She graduated in cultural studies (Kyiv-Mohyla Academy) and social anthropology (Central European University). In 2012-13 she was a Fulbright visiting fellow at Temple University, Philadelphia. In 2015 she received a Gaude Polonia stipend and finished a DOK PRO documentary film directing course at Andrzej Wajda Film School in Warsaw.
She is a curator and co-founder of “86” International Festival of Film and Urbanism in Slavutych, Ukraine (2014-2019). In 2019 she started Takflix.com — an online-cinema for Ukrainian films.
