Born in Cracow/Poland where she completed her MA in Film Studies at the Jagiellonian University she has lived in the UK since 1995. She is EAVE graduate and an expert of the Polish Film Institute. In 2006 she set up her own company Braidmade Films in London and in 2012 opened its outlet in Cracow. Her credits include frequently awarded films such as The Last Expedition (2024), granted with Polish National Film Award, The Wall of Shadows (2020) that up to date received over 30 international GRAND PRIX, HBO production K2 Touching the Sky (2015), Arte/ZDF film Waking Under Water (2014) and BBC documentary Wojtek – the Bear that Went to War (2011). Her latest film Closure premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January this year and is enjoying a successful run on the festival circuit.
