Julia Scott-Stevenson

Julia Scott-Stevenson is a research fellow with DCRC in interactive factual media. In this role, she works with researchers and industry to explore the potential of interactive and immersive factual media, and communicates developments in the field via DCRC’s social media channels and website. Juliaalso plays a lead role in presenting the i-Docs symposium, a biannual event dedicated to interactive documentary.

Julia holds a PhD in interactive documentary and social impact, for which she created the i-doc Giving Time, about volunteers with Australian Red Cross. She previously worked with the Sydney-based Antenna Documentary Film Festival for six years, programming films, developing the festival’s innovation strand and managing communications. She has also taught digital cultures and interactive documentary at Macquarie University and the University of Technology, Sydney.
