Chris Westendorp is a price winning Amsterdam based screenwriter and documentary maker. She was head writer for many popular tv-series, such as Penoza, Seven Little Criminals and Santos. Penoza was sold to various countries. For Seven Little Criminals and Santos she won the Gouden Kalf, the Dutch price for best tv-series of the year.

She wrote a couple of features, such as Confetti Harvest and Beraber. Her film Boys (co-written with Jaap Peter Enderlé) turned into a gay classic and was mentioned as one of the 50 must see gay films.

Next to writing, Chris is passionate about documentaries. As a dramaturg she worked on the acclaimed documentary-series Debt Society and Class Rooms. She just finished the documentary-series Hidden as a director. This series is about unseen warfare between states and has been selected for CannesSeriés 2024. Chris just finished a sweet documentary about a queer-summer camp as co-director. At the moment Chris is working on two features for the big screen.
