Danilo Cekovic studied Film directing at Academy of Arts in Belgrade. During the studies, he filmed short fiction and documentary films, one of which, "Garden of dreams", was in selection at Belgrade documentary and short film festival. He is currently finishing his first feature documentary, as a director and producer. Film is about his community service, titled "Diary of a Serious Offender". The film was financed by Film Center Serbia. With that project, he was one of 6 participants at Beldocs Pro International Workshop, as well as one of 5 projects selected at Docu Rough Cut Boutique 2018. There, the project was awarded the IDFA prize, and Danilo participated at IDFAcademy 2018. "Diary of a Serious Offender" was part of local group during EuroDoc, workshop in Novi Sad 2019.
