Petr Slabý (b. 1963) worked after high school as directors´ assistant
at the Barrandov FilmStudios. Before studies at the FilmAcademy Of Music Arts,
department of scriptwriting and dramaturgy (1988 - 1995) he became an editor
of music magazines. In 1993 he was one of the main directors of the TV music
programme called Trip and from1995 to 2000 of another music programme called
„60“. During that period he made many interviews with renowned pop, rock and
alternative artists (Ozzy Osborne, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, Tatsuya Yoshida, Leonid
Soybelman, Jon Rose, Blixa Bargeld from Einsturzende Neubauten, Nick Cave,
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin etc.). For the TV programme
„60“ he also made a special programme about Nests Of Games and other
multiartistic projects. He is also the author of the TV document about Pop Museum
and the portrait of the jazzman Luděk Hulan. He still writes for music and film
magazines and for newspapers. He is also the co-author (with his father Z.K. Slabý)
of a one-thousand-page encyclopedia called World Of Another Music and for
several years worked for a radio programme of the same name.
