Marta Minorowicz is author and director of the multi-award winning short documentary film, ‘A Piece of Summer’ (Kawalek Lata) that premiered at Krakow Film Festival, 2010. Awards include: Grand Prix, Best International Short Film, Clermont-Ferrand Filmfest 2011; Golden Dove, Best International Short Documentary, DOK Festival, Leipzig, 2010; and Grand Prix ‘White Cobra’, Lodz, Poland. In 2010 Marta graduated from the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing where she made the film, “The House” (in post-production). In 2003 she graduated from the History of Theater and English Filology at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. For more than five years she cooperated with Polish television where she made dozens of social reportages. For Discovery History she scripted and directed, among others, the documentary film, ‘The Angel of Death’ that tells the harrowing story, through interviews with women survivors, of the Nazi doctor Mengele’s pseudo-medical experiments.
