Jana Boršková studied film in Prague (FAMU - Department of Screenwriting and Dramaturgy) and in Paris (Sorbonne Nouvelle, Department of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts). She works for the Czech Television – Direction of the travel documentary series Na Cestě (On the Road) – On the Road across: North Vietnam, West Bengal, Bombay, Sri Lanka and Goa. She is the author of feature film scripts Miss by chtěla žluté růže (Miss Would Like Yellow Roses) and Špionážní letadlo nad územím Kuby (Spy Plane over Cuba). She is the director of the documentary film From Cherries to Cherries about her mother dealing with the death of her husband, Jana´s father.
