Anatoly Baluyev was born and grew up in the Komy-Permyak District, Russian Federation. He graduated from the Russian State Cinema Institute (VGIK) in 1973 with the diploma of a film critic. Since 1976 Mr. Baluyev has been shooting films as a film director. He lives in Ekaterinburg.
