Born in 1977 in Erfurt, Germany holds an Master of Arts in Media Culture, History of Art and Educational Science. She works as a freelance author and director for several production companies. Besides she teaches young adults in film workshops. In 2011 Katja participated at the ESoDoc Workshop, where she developed her recent long run documentary 'Wounded Trust'.
