Jūratė earned her Master’s degree in Film Directing from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2007. Her short film Noroutine (2008) won Best Short at Lithuania’s national film awards. In 2017, she co-created the feature documentary What We Leave Behind with her sister, a photographer. In 2022, she contributed as one the directors to the volunteer documentary project Letter to Ukraine, documenting Lithuanian aid initiatives during the war.
