Bára Jíchová Tyson is a Czech-American artist and filmmaker whose work blends documentary inquiry with visual art. She is currently directing and co-producing her second feature hybrid documentary, Playtopia, a Czech–Romanian–U.S. co-production. Her debut feature, Talking About Adultery (2019), premiered at Sheffield Doc/Fest (New Talent Award nominee) and screened at Ji.hlava IDFF and DOC NYC. She has collaborated with filmmakers including Michael Almereyda, Hal Hartley, and Narcissister, co-writing and editing Organ Player (Sundance 2018) and editing films presented at MoMA Doc Fortnight and New Directors/New Films. A MacDowell Fellow, she is represented by Municipal Bonds gallery and will be in residence at Yaddo (2025) and MacDowell (2026).
