Born- November 30, 1945, Yerevan
1964- entered Yerevan Fine arts and theatre institute, studied in directing faculty (V. Achemyan’s workshop). Graduated in 1969.
1971- he worked as a director at Yerevan Studio of Documentary films.
1982-1989- was the Artistic director of Armenfilm Studio’s Documentaries chapter
1989-2009 the managing director and artistic director of Hayk Documentary Film Studio.
2003- he was the acting director of the Cinematographers union of Armenia
2004- was elected chairperson of the cinematographers union of Armenia, and in 2009 was re-elected in the same position.
Teaches at Yerevan Institute of theatre and cinema.
Since 2002- an academician of the international TV and radio academy
2004- the president of the national academy of cinema and TV
