Franciszek Berbeka was born in Zakopane in 1989 where he graduated the Art High School. He studied Philosophy at the University of Warsaw. Since 2019, he is studying Film Directing at the Łódź Film School. At the Film School he made several feature and documentary shorts. One of his most important films is The Disappearance of Janusz Klarner (2021). The piece was made using found-footage technique. This film had its premiere at the 37th Warsaw International Film Festival. The film received awards, among others, for the Best Directing at TISFF 2022.
