Marin Lukanović was born in Rijeka in 1979. Active in NGOs in Croatia since 1996, first in peace movement (Škola mira), then in independent cultural sector. Parallel with his studies in Bologna he worked on several feature films as assistant director.After returning to Croatia, he started collaborating with theatre companies in Croatia as director, assistant director and video artist. He cooperates with national theatres in Rijeka, Zagreb, Osijek and Maribor, as well as independent theatre companies such as UlyssesTheatre and Trafik. His documentary film “‘Rikard Benčić’, for example” (co-authored with Nadija Mustapić) is part of the collection of Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Rijeka. Workshop organiser and producer in Filmaktiv, Rijeka-based documentary film activist group.
