1972 born in Siegen (Germany). Director, writer and documentary trainer. Katja Schupp studied history, German philology and media in Münster 1991-1999. She completed her journalistic training 2000-2001 at Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University, Evanston/Illinois, Chicago/Illinois, Washington D.C. and London. Since 2001 she is working as a freelance editor and director for various German TV channels (ZDF, 3sat, arte). In addition, she teaches since 2011 media, politics and TV at the Deutsche Welle Academy, Bonn.
