Marion Schmidt is a cultural manager, strategic consultant, and facilitator working internationally with film markets, festivals, organisations, and individuals. She leads the #DocSafe initiative, advocating for safer, more accountable working conditions in the documentary sector. Recently certified as a systemic-integrative coach, she adopts a people-centred approach, fostering critical exchange and structural change. Marion co-founded DAE and DOX BOX e.V., sits on the boards of DAE and the Network of Arab Alternative Screens, and is an active member of the Palestine Film Institute. She brings nearly 20 years' of experience from working in and with big institutions (EFM, Goethe-Institute, Deutsche Welle etc.) to building organisations and grassroots collectives.
