Mariam Ohanyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. Graduated from Yerevan State University Department of Applied Mathematics, then was post-graduated student of Department of Sociology, graduated courses of filmmakers.
Since 2000 she is director of Legal Gender Cultural Foundation LIZA. Since 2004 she is founder and director of International Women’s Film Festival “KIN” http://kinfestival.com
She is associate professor at Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema Arts, Yerevan, Armenia, a member of Armenian Union of Cinematographers.
She works as producer, director, scriptwriter and Director of Photography. Her films participated in different Film Festivals, received prizes.
