Lina Luzyte was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 1985. In 2011, she graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre with an MA in Film Directing. In 2010 she has released her first feature documentary film “Igrushki” From 2011 up until now, she is part of a documentary project “99 Little Heroes” (Germany) portraying children all around the world on their challenging ways to school. Lina’s first feature “Together For Ever” premiered in Karlovy Vary IFF in 2016. In 2020 she finished her second feature “The Castle”, a co-production between Lithuania and Ireland. In 2022 Lina released her second feature documentary “Blue/Red/Deport” and currently is in post-production of her third feature film “Johatsu” a story about a woman who decides to abandon her life.
