Born in 1980 in Petach Tikva, Israel, Yael Reuveny started studying at the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School in Jerusalem in 2000. In her studies she was involved in directing, screenwriting and producing. Since her graduation in 2005 Reuveny has been living and working both in Israel and Germany. She was involved in projects such as directing and producing short documentaries for the Jewish Museum in Berlin and a video installation in Santander, Spain. In 2009 her film “Tales of the Defeated” won the first prize in the short documentary section at the Jerusalem Film Festival.
