Graduated with a BA degree in Audiovisual media from Baltic Film and Media School (Estonia) and MA degree in directing from the Latvian Academy of Culture.
For the last ten years Katrina has been working in the film industry all around the world as an assistant director for fiction projects, also in Ukraine. Nevertheless, due to her passion for documentary, she always found time to work on her own documentary projects. Currently, Katrina wants to shift toward her passion and take on documentary directing as her full-time career.
