Ryan Sidhoo is a Polish-Canadian award-winning documentary director and producer, drawn to projects exploring identity and culture. He is currently finishing his coming-of-age documentary set in Bosnia, supported by SFFILM, The Canada Council for the Arts, and Mountainfilm. It will have it's world Premier at True/False Festival in 2025.
Recently, he produced Handle with Care, nominated for three Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Documentary Feature. The film was an official selection at Hot Docs 2022, won the Audience Award at VIFF 2021, and premiered in the U.S. at Urbanworld 2022 and in Europe at Tallinn Dark Nights 2022.
Sidhoo also won a Webby Award for his directing work on True North, a series produced by the National Film Board of Canada.
