Jay Saltanatkhah is a queer mixed-media artist that focuses on diaspora and connections, utilizing archival footage throughout their work. As Saltanatkhah makes works that link to past and current issues, they use old and new age technology to connect to viewers. Using footage from a life already lived and recording new footage with older digital cameras, they ignite a feeling of loss and reminiscence.
