Karianne has a Masters in documentary directing from Lillehammer University College. She has been at Indie Film since 2008, working on all aspects of film production and distribution. In 2016, she debuted as director with the suspenseful feature documentary The Grenade Man. In 2017, she started Indie Film’s theatrical distribution arm, delivering Steffan Strandberg’s The Night, and Sofia Haugan’s My Heart Belong to Daddy. She has produced Even Benestad's short documentary The Earth is a Chili (2020) and Emilie Beck's first feature documentary No Place Like Home (2022). In 2022 her true crime TV-series Welcome To Norway will premiere at TV 2, DR, and C-More in Sweden and Finland.
