Hana Jakrlová is a photographer and documentary filmmaker based in Prague and New York. Her projects deal with questions of identity, intimacy and freedom. She has published two books of photographs, Big Sister and Europe in Between, and her work has been published in international media (CNN, Newsweek, Wired Magazine, National Geographic, Reflex, Respek, Echo, Ego HN, etc.) and the Museum of Fine Art Houston, Museum of Photography Belgium, Museum of Contemporary Art Moscow, UMPRUM Prague, Václav Havel Library, International Center of Photography New York). Hana is the co-author of the documentary Big Sister: Because of You, co-produced with XTV Milano and Sky TV, based on her photographic project.
