Born in 1965, Warsaw, Poland. In 1990 she received an MA in Italian language and literature at University of Warsaw. Residential programmes in Italy and France. A one-year course for TV journalists at the Television Academy, TVP S.A. Professional experience: 2003 - Screenplay and direction of "Tom W." - a 28-min documentary for TVP 1 about an 11-year old boy who takes care of his family (Special Prize at IFF Guangzhou in China, december 2004); screenplay and direction of "Ania and Wiesiek", a 12-min documentary for TVP 2 about a couple of young people who contracted debts to built their house; screenplay and direction of "Squatters", a 25-min documentary for TVP 1 about the first community of young people in Warsaw who contest the economic and social "status quo" in Poland; 2002 - Screenplay and direction of "Polak wietnamskiego pochodzenia" (A Pole of Vietnamese Origin), a 25-minute documentary for TVP 1; 2001-2002 - Assistant director for "Przedszkolandia" (Kinderland), a soap opera for TVP; Assistant director for "Centrum nadziei" (Hospital of Hope), a soap opera for the TVN Private Television; 1996-2001 - Journalist at TVP (making over 100, 10-min documentaries on social pathologies in Poland); 1995 - Reporter for the news bulletin at the POLSAT Private Television; 1993-94 - Journalist at the Zycie Warsawy daily.
