During her studies at SVOSF in Pisek, Martina Spurna worked as a 1st AD on for example, P. Nikolaev film It´s Gonna Get Worse. In 2010 she completed her studies in documentary film making at VSMU in Bratislava. Since 2011, she has been part of AV CR production studio OAT, SSČ AV ČR, where she dedicates her time to making popular scientific films and documentaries. Her latest project was the documentary film Movements, which was shot during the expedition of Czech scientists to Svalbard. The documentary film Movements was awarded by jury of International festival of science documentary films in Olomouc in 2016.
